Coaching is where you practice interviews out loud and talk your search through. Pick a session, talk to Yara on a private voice call (or type in chat), and get feedback you can act on. Every session is private: no employer ever sees it.
1. Open Coaching
Click Coaching in the left sidebar. The page has four parts:
Your sessions: every session you have done, newest first. Interview sessions show their score, for example 4/10. Click one to open the chat it ran in.
Mock interview: a private voice call with follow-up questions, then a scorecard.
Coaching: talk a decision through with a coach.
Wellbeing: room to talk about the search itself. These sessions are never scored.
You can also start from chat. On a new chat, click Coaching under the message box to see the same sessions, and Show all to jump to that section of the Coaching page. Or just ask, for example "Help me practice for an interview".
2. Pick a session
Mock interview sessions (click Practice):
Mock interview from a job post: questions built from the posting and your resume.
Recruiter screen: the first call: background, motivation, logistics.
Hiring manager screen: deeper on the work you have done and would do.
Behavioral questions: STAR drills on conflict, failure and impact.
Tell your story: the "walk me through your background" answer.
Panel interview: several interviewers, different angles.
Final round: a senior interviewer, judgment and motivation.
Coaching sessions (click Start): Debrief a rejection, Job search check-in, Plan your next move and Practice a negotiation.
Wellbeing sessions (click Start): Talk through job search stress, Running on empty and Confidence after a no.
3. Choose the role
Most interview sessions are about a specific role. Yara asks which one: pick a role from your applications, or paste a job link. Behavioral questions and Tell your story work without a role.
Yara then shows a session card with the plan: what the session covers and how long it takes.
Click Start (~10 min) for a voice call.
Click or continue in chat to practice by typing instead.
4. On the call
Before the call starts, check your microphone and speaker (click Play test sound). The camera is optional. You see the questions Yara plans to cover, then click Start practice.
During the call:
The orb in the middle is Yara. It moves when Yara speaks and when it hears you.
Live captions show what you both say. Use Hide captions or Show captions to switch them off or on.
The timer at the top right shows how much time is left.
Type in the box at the bottom if you would rather write an answer, and use the microphone button to mute yourself.
Yara asks follow-up questions like a real interviewer would.
Click End practice when you are done. The call ends right away.
5. After the call
The chat shows that the session ended, followed by the transcript. For a mock interview, Yara then writes your Scorecard. See Read your mock interview scorecard.
Coaching and Wellbeing sessions are never scored. Wellbeing calls keep only a short note that the session happened: the conversation is not saved to your chat, search or memory.
Good to know
Voice practice uses practice minutes from your plan. See How many voice practice minutes do I get?
Practicing in chat by typing does not use practice minutes. It uses your regular chat credits.
